Each of the over 7500 surnames and variants listed in the online Register of One-Name Studies is currently registered by a member of the Guild as the subject of a one-name study. The member is therefore collecting all occurrences of the surname on a world-wide basis.

The Guild is committed to the highest accuracy in its online information (including the removal of obsolete details) and unauthorised copies at other sites would soon become inaccurate.

Changes and corrections to the membership details shown here should be sent to the A webform for this purpose is available in the Members' Room. Please do NOT send corrections to the Website Manager.

You can search the Register for a surname registered with the Guild, the surname of a member or their membership number. Alternatively, selecting any of the letters of the alphabet in the list above the search box will display a list of registered surnames beginning with that letter.

NOTE

A very small number of members are not listed in the on-line register. If a member is not listed, this is because they have asked for their details to be excluded from the Internet. Their details are included in the printed version of the Register.

  2. Then click on the name of your choice.

You can also use the inbuilt search system above. You may type in the surname you are interested in, the surname of the member carrying out the one-name study, or, if you know it, the person's membership number, into the search field.
