My One-Name Study of BLOFELD and variants only began at the beginning of 2008.
Known variants are BLOFIELD, BLOFEILD, BLOFFIELD, BLOFFEILD, BLOWFIELD, BLOWFFIELD, BLOWFFIELD, BLOFFIELD, BLUFELD, BLUFIELD, BLUFFEILD plus all the above with an e on the end.
I am not yet sure whether BLOOMFIELD (and its variants) should be part of this study or whether it is a seperate surname. Watch this space
I have collected the majority of the births, marriages and births from the GRO indexes for the years 1837 - 2005 together with the census records for the eight census years 1841 to 1911 for England and Wales. However both these projects are still ongoing.
I am also collecting parish records, wills and other documents but as yet have only collected a few from a small amount of areas. Again an ongoing project.
This is an area of research that I am extremely interested in but don't yet know of any male BLOFELDs to ask to take a test. I have set up a project with FTDNA.
