About the Bingley One-Name Study

The Bingley one-name-study has been running for some years now. We have been attempting to help as many Bingley researchers as possible. My own Bingleys come from Lincolnshire but the main areas we can help with are, Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and London. WE have a little on other areas too.

Variants

Binley/Bindley/Bingleys are variants of this name but mainly in Leicestershire. The other counties seem to stick rigidly to Bingley.

Origin of the surname

It is believed that all Bingleys originate from Bingley in Yorkshire. There is no proof of this.
