To Members Room

The Guild Members' Room contains information restricted to Guild members. This includes:

Facilities available to members, such as the Guild Marriage Index, Guild Probate Index, and the Guild Scottish Index
Access to tools to create members' Profile pages (to advertise members' one-name studies) and Archive pages (to publish members' one-name data)
Information sources such as the Guild Knowledge Store (the 'Wiki'), plus a selection of useful articles on topics of interest such as DNA
The Guild Online Library of one-name material
News and announcements of regional events and meetings
Details of services available to members, including promotional codes for genealogical websites, and co-operative projects for members to assist other members such as the Guild Marriage Challenge
"Self-Service" web forms for member facilities, such as changing address details, renewing subscriptions, or updating details of members' studies
Guild news and Committee proceedings

Important note for all users of this website: Our new ISP uses a firewall to protect its hosted websites from malicious attacks. If the firewall decides you have repeatedly tried to access pages without authorisation, then it will temporarily block you out, and it will appear to you as if the website has suddenly gone offline. Before this happens to you, it is recommended that you read and note the following:

If this website appears to be offline, then visit http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com and enter the domain name "one-name.org". If this reports that it's just you, then the block will probably be lifted after twenty minutes. If it's not just you, then an email to the webmaster would be much appreciated, to notify her that there is a problem with the website that she should be looking into.

If your access to the website is not restored after twenty minutes, then again please notify the webmaster and tell her what you were doing before the website became unavailable to you.

Forgotten your password? If you are a Guild member and have forgotten your password, a form is available to request that your password be reset and the new password sent to you at your registered email address.
