Annual Subscription

The annual subscription is currently £15.00. A subscription is payable on joining, and then annually on 1st November each year.

Applications processed before the 1st August will be deemed to be for that year, and another subscription will be due on the next 1st November. Members joining before 1st August will receive a Welcome Pack containing the latest Register and the Journal back numbers for that year.

Those joining after 31st July will not be required to pay their next subscription until 1st November of the following year. They will receive a Welcome Pack containing the latest Register, but not the Journal back numbers.

In subsequent years, members may pay a reduced subscription (currently £14.00) and will not receive a copy of the annual printed Register. Any member who wishes to continue to receive the printed Register may opt to do so, but will pay the full rate (currently £15.00). The full printed Register is available to members as a downloadable PDF file from the members' area of the website, which also has an online Register search facility.

Renewal subscriptions

Renewal subscriptions are due on 1st November each year. A renewal form is sent out with the October Journal, and payment should be sent to the Renewals Secretary, . It is possible to arrange to pay your annual subscription to the Guild by bank Standing Order, or you can use a Repeat Transaction Authority if paying by credit card. Forms are available for this in the Members Room.

An online facility for subscription renewals by PayPal is also available via the Members Room.

Registration fee

The fee payable on registering a surname, currently £12.00, is a one-off payment at the time of registration, and does not have to be renewed annually.
